PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel ROBERT
HENRY WYNYARD, a Companion
of the most Honorable Order of
the Bath, the Officer Administer-
ing the Government of the Is-
lands of New Zealand, &c., &c.,
&c.

WHEREAS the General Assembly of the
Islands of New Zealand has been and
now stands prorogued to Thursday, the fifth
day of July instant, and it is deemed expe-
dient further to prorogue the said Assembly.
Now therefore I, the Officer Administering
the Government of New Zealand, as afore-
said, in pursuance of the power and authority
in me vested, do hereby further prorogue
the said General Assembly of the Islands
of New Zealand to Wednesday, the eighth
day of August next.
Given under my hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Islands of New Zealand, at
Auckland, this fourth day of
July, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred
and fifty-five.
