Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland,
16th January, 1855.
IT having been reported to the Government,
that Arms and Ammunition have been lately
imported into the Colony, and sold to the Na-
tives, contrary to the provisions of the "Arms
Importation Ordinance," Sess. 6, No. 1, which
is herewith republished for general informa-
tion, His Excellency the Officer Administering
the Government directs it to be notified that
the law forbidding such traffic will be enforced
with the utmost rigour; and that whoever
will give information which may lead to the
conviction of the offenders will be liberally
rewarded.
