CONTRACTS FOR SERVICE OF

GENERAL GOVERNMENT.

Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland,
14th March, 1853.

TENDERS will be received at this Office
until noon, on FRIDAY, the 31st inst.,
for furnishing the General Government with
the undermentioned Supplies, in such quan-
tities as may be required, during the six
months commencing on the 1st of April next.

FIREWOOD.

At per Ton, for the usual size, and also for
such as may be required to be cut and split
to a size to suit the fire-places in the Public
offices; to be delivered at the several Public
offices.

PROVISIONS.

Biscuit at per 100 lbs.
Flour..at per 100 lbs.
Fresh Pork .. at per lb.
Salt Pork ...at per lb.
Fresh Beef .. at per lb.
Salt Beef .. at per lb.
Suet .. at per lb.
Sugar .. at per lb.
Tea ... at per lb.
Raisins .. at per lb.
Potatoes ... at per lb.
Rice .. at per lb.
Coffee .. at per lb.
Pease .. at per bushel.
Vinegar .. at per gallon.

PRINTING.

Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland,
14th March, 1854.

TENDERS will be received at this Office
until noon, on FRIDAY, the 31st inst.,
for Printing the Government Gazette, and
for such other Printing as may be required
for the service of the General Government,
during the twelve calendar months com-
mencing on the 1st of April next.

Tenders to be in duplicate, Sealed, and
Endorsed "Tenders for Printing."

Specifications of the work may be seen
and further particulars obtained by applica-
tion at this Office.

IN pursuance of the 20th clause of the
Resident Magistrates Courts Ordinance,
Session 7, No. 16, I hereby select and appoint
the under-mentioned Aboriginal Native to be
an Assessor for the Coast District extending
from Ohiwa to Whangaparaca, for settling
disputes, along with the Resident Magis-
trate of the District, between persons of the
Aboriginal Race ; that is to say

NIKORIMA, of Tokata.
