PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel ROBERT
HENRY WYNYARD, Companion
of the most Honourable Order
of the Bath, the Officer Admin-
istering the Government of the
Islands of New Zealand, &c.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance enacted by
the Governor of New Zealand, with
the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council, Sess. 2, No. 9, intituled "an Ordi-
nance to provide for the Registration of Deeds
and instruments affecting real property." It
is enacted that there shall be established in
every County or District as the case may be
-within the Colony, an office which shall be
called the "Register Office," for Registering
in manner thereinafter directed, the Deeds,
Wills, and Memorials thereby authorized to
be registered. And whereas, it is further
enacted that the said Ordinance shall come
at such time as His Excellency the Governor
with the advice of the Executive Council shall,
by Proclamation, appoint.
Now therefore, I, the Officer administer-
ing the Government, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by
the said in part recited Ordinance,
do hereby, with the advice of the Exe-
cutive Council, appoint that the said recited
Ordinan e shall come into operation within
the Province of New Plymouth, on FRIDAY,
the first day of December next, ensuing.

ber, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty-
four.

GIVEN under my hand and issued
under the public Seal of the
The Legislative Council thereof entituled "An
Ordinance for the Naturalization of certain per-
sons in the Islands of New Zealand," Session
XII., No. 4, it is enac ed that "all and sin-
gular the persons who shall be declared to
come within the operation of such Ordinance
by any Proclamation to be issued in that be-
half by His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief
shall be deemed and taken until the next Ses-
sion of the General Legislature within the Is-
lands of New Zealand to be natural born sub-
jects of Her Majesty. Now, therefore, I the
