IN N pursuance pursuance of the provisions of the New Zealand, Cansitation Act, His
Excellency the Offices Administering the Government directs the publication
of the following Acts of the General Assembly, for public information.

AN ACT for bringing into operation within the Colony certain Title.
Acts of the Imperial Parliament.
(Assented to 14th September, 1854)

WHEREAS certain Acts of the Imperial Parliament specified Preamble.
in the Schedule hereunto annexed have been passed for the
amendment of the Law and it is expedient that the same be
adopted and brought into operation within this Colony.

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New
Zealand as follows:

Parliament sat at General Assembly House (nicknamed the 'Shedifice') in Auckland from 1854-1864, sharing the building with the Auckland Provincial Council.

Ironically the Upper House met on the lower story, and the Lower House on the upper story.
