23rd May, 1854.

HIS Excellency the Officer administering
the Government, directs it to be notified
for general information, that a Warrant, under
his hand, has been issued to the Chief
Justice to administer the Oath of Allegiance

to the Members of the General Assembly, on
their meeting on Wednesday, the 24th
instant, at noon, when His Honor will be
in attendance at the Council Chamber for
that purpose.
