PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency GEORGE GREY,
Esquire, Lieutenant-Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Depen-
dencies and Vice-Admiral of the same,
&c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by an Ordinance enacted by
the Governor of New Zealand, with
the advice and consent of the Legislative Coun-
cil, Session 2, No. 9, intituled "An Ordinance
" to provide for the Registration of Deeds and
"Instruments affecting Real Property," it is
enacted, that the said Ordinance shall come
into operation within any County or District at
such time as His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice of the Executive Council, shall by
Proclamation appoint.

Now, I, the Lieutenant-Governor, in pur-
suance of the power and authority in me vested
by the said in part recited Ordinance, do hereby,
with the advice of the Executive Council, ap-
point that the said Ordinance shall extend to,
and come into operation within, the Great
Barrier Island, on the tenth day of February,
1846, and that the said Island shall form a part
of the Auckland District for purposes of Regis-
tration.

Given under my Hand, and issued
under the Public Seal of the
Colony, at Government House,
Auckland, this twenty-eighth day
(L.S.) of January, in the year of Our
Lord One thousand eight hundred
and forty-six.
