PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency ROBERT FITZROY,
Esquire, Captain in Her Majesty's Royal
Navy, Governor and Commander-in-Chief
in and over the Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies, and Vice Admiral
of the same, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by an Ordinance enacted by
the Governor of New Zealand, with
the advice and consent of the Legislative Coun-
cil, Session 3, No. 1, intituled "An Ordinance
for establishing a Supreme Court," the Governor
of New Zealand is empowered, with the advice
of the Executive Council, by Proclamation,
from time to time, to divide the Colony into
Districts for the purposes of the said recited
Ordinance, and the limits of such Districts from
time to time to alter, as occasion may require.

Now, I, the Governor, with the advice of the
Executive Council, in pursuance of the autho-
rity aforesaid, do hereby proclaim and declare
that, for the purposes of the said Ordinance,
the "Chatham Islands," hitherto attached tem-
porarily to the Northern Division of this Colony,
shall be included in the Southern Division on
and after the first day of January, 1846.

SUPREME COURT.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Sitting of
the Supreme Court for the despatch of
Criminal business, will be holden at the Court
House, in Auckland, on Monday, the first day
of December, next, at Ten o'clock in the fore-
noon, at which time and place all persons under
recognizances to appear either as prosecutors,
defendants, or witnesses, are required to give
their attendance.
