IN reference to a letter from the Master of
H. M. Colonial Brig Victoria, published
in the preceding number of this Gazette, he has
subsequently communicated the following memo-
randum :—
"By a clerical error the locality of the rock
off the north side of the Island of Waiheke
appears to be six miles, instead of three miles,
the correct distance from Bird Island.

TRANSFER OF LICENSES.
A SPECIAL Meeting of the Justices for the
Town and District of Auckland, will be
holden on Tuesday, the second day of Septem-
ber, next, at the Police Office, Auckland, at
eleven o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose
of receiving applications for the Transfer of
Publicans' Licenses.
