All Arrears of Rate to be recoverable in
a summary way. -
This proposed Ordinance shall not extend
to the Sale of Goods under the authority of the
"Licensing Ordinance," or of the "Auctioneer's
Ordinance." -
For the purposes of the said Ordinance,
the term "Goods," shall be held to mean Flour,
Salt, Coals, Wines, Spirits, Malt Liquors, Tea,
Coffee, Sugar, Tobacco, Cigars, Snuff, Hard-
ware, Crockery, Glass, Linen, Woollen, and
other articles of Clothing, Stationery, and all
other Goods, Wares, or Merchandise.
SCHEDULE.
When the amount for which Goods shall have
been sold during the last quarter, shall not
exceed-

H IS Excellency the Governor has been
pleased to direct it to be notified for
general information, that persons intending to
apply for Private Ordinances during the ensuing
Session of the Legislative Council, must trans-
mit drafts of the Bills to the Clerk of Councils,
on or before Saturday, the 15th day of March,
1845.

WHEREAS, there are now about four
hundred Deeds of Grant lying at the
Colonial Secretary's Office, ready for delivery—
and it is expedient that they should be forth-
with issued:-I am desired to give notice, that
an Ordinance will be proposed to the Legislative
Council having for its object the establishing a
certain fine to be paid on Deeds allowed to re-
main at the said Office more than one month
after their advertisement in the Gazette.
The operation of such Ordinance to be re-
trospective as far as January 1st, 1844, and
the fine to encrease monthly.

section of the Property Rate Ordinance.
