November, 1830, by Mr. Phillip Tapsell,
acting on behalf of the claimant, from the
native Chiefs Tesbie, Kikeru, Toke, Peuto-
rea, Bonire, and Tepipe.
Consideration-various articles of merchan-
dise, value not stated.
Nature of conveyance-Instrument in writ-
ing, dated 8th November, 1840.

Alleged to have been purchased from the na-
tive chiefs Ko Hokianga, Ko Pehi, Nga,
Wane, Te-nga-hahu, on 23rd November,
1839.
Consideration given to the natives-merchan-
dise to the value of £450.
Nature of conveyance-deed in favor of
claimant.

Case No. 302 (a)- GEORGE WILLIAM WHITE,
of Kororarika, claimant in part.
18,750, Eighteen thousand, seven hundred,
and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Bay
of Plenty, commencing at Tairua Harbour, and
bounded on the north by land claimed by Mr.
William Webster; on the south by land also
claimed by Mr. Webster, called Mauariki, com-
prising the rivers Tairua and Hukuwai.
Alleged to have been purchased fram the na-
tive chiefs Hokianga, Totoki, and Narou,
by claimant, on behalf of himself, Alex-
ander McGregor, of the Bay of Islands,
and two others, of which purchase Mr.
White now claims one-fourth.
Consideration given to the natives-merchan-
dise to the value of £280.
Nature of conveyance-a deed, the particulars
and date of which are not stated.

Case No. 347.-J. W. HARRIS, of Poverty Bay,
claimant.
2, Two acres, more or less, situate about a
quarter of a mile from the mouth of the river
Turanga Nui, bounded on the east by the river,
on the south by a small stream of fresh water,
on the west by land belonging to the natives,
and on the north a native fence.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
from native chiefs, names not mentioned,
on the 30th June, 1831.
Consideration given to the natives-a quan-
tity of goods, value not stated.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

Case No. 302 (b)-GEORGE WILLIAM WHITE,
of Kororarika, claimant in part.
4,800, Four thousand, eight hundred acres,
more or less, situate at the Bay of Plenty, com-
meacing at a river called Teawa Tetua, and
comprising all those parcels of land known by
the names of Otemorora, Kiwainga, Tepura,
Terauotai, Ohu, Temaripihi, and Wangatare;
bounded on the east by the island called Oma-
rupotiki, following the course of the river Tara-
wara; on the west by the ridge of mountains
called Makapaukorouro; on the south by land
called Takaua Korpa; and on the north by a
sand bank called Tarauturangi and the sea
beach.
Alleged to have been purchased from the na-
tive chiefs Tekenaita, Kotemaka, Rangita
Ruia, and others, on the 13th January,
1839, by claimant, on behalf of himself and
Mr. Alexander McGregor, and of this pur-
chase Mr. White now claims one moiety.
Consideration given to the natives-merchan-
dise to the value of £125.
Nature of conveyance-deed, dated 13th Ja-
nuary, 1839.

Case No. 347 (a)-J. W. HARRIS, of Poverty
Bay, claimant.
3, Three acres, more or less, situate about
half a mile from the river Turanga Nui, bounded
on the north by the river Waitaru-haru, on the
east by that part of the river called Wai Turanga
Nui, and on the south and west sides by a na-
tive village.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant,
from native chiefs, names not mentioned,
on the 5th May, 1838.
Consideration given to the natives-a quan-
tity of goods, value not stated.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

Case No. 305 (h)-WILLIAM WEBSTER, of
Coromandel Harbour, claimant,
3,000, Three thousand acres, more or less,
situated near the river Tairua (Bay of Plenty),
commencing one quarter of a mile to the north-
ward of a creek called Punaruku, and running
along the beach one quarter of a mile to the
southward of another creek called Tekano, and
running south-west from each corner boundary
to the summit of a hill called Porewa.

Case No. 347 (b)-JOHN HARRIS, of Poverty
Bay, claimant.
A piece of land, situate about 10 miles from
the mouth of the river Turanga, bounded by
the river by the west and south sides.
Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
from certain chiefs, names not mentioned,
on the 10th December, 1839.
Consideratian given to the natives-a quan-
tity of goods, value not stated.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

Case No. 349. -THOMAS SCOTT, of the Bay of
Islands, claimant.
6, Six acres, more or less, known by the
name of Maratatahau, running down to a place
called Opoporo; bounded on the east by land
belonging to a chief named Houroa, on the west
by a branch of the Tauranga river, on the north
by the land of a chief named Tatari, on the south
by land belonging to Houroa.
Alleged to have been obtained from the native
chief Napa Nuka, residing at Maunga Tapu
Tauranga, as a gift.
Consideration given to the natives--not stated.
