SALE OF CROWN LANDS BY PRIVATE
CONTRACT.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 25th November, 1842.

IN conformity with the provisions of the Act
of the Imperial Parliament, 5th & 6th Vic-
toriæ, ch. 36, His Excellency the OFFICER
administering the Government directe it to be
notified, that the following Country Lands which
remain unsold from the Government Land Sale
of the 24th instant, are now open for Sale by
Private Contract, and for this purpose proposals
will be received at this Office from parties de-
sirous of becoming purchasers of particular Lots.
Notices will appear in succeeding Nos. of the
Gazette, of such Lands as may be disposed of
in the interval.

LIST of FARMS situated on the River Tamaki,
in the County of Eden, Parish of Waitemata,
advertised in the Government Gazette for Sale
on the 24th November, 1842, but not sold on
that day :-

Lot No. 5, containing 124a. 3r. 8p., one
hundred and twenty-four acres, three roods, and
eight perohes.
Lot No. 6, containing 82a. 2r. 15p., eighty-
two acres, two roods, and fifteen perches.
Lot No. 10, containing 67a. 1r. 35p.,
sixty-seven acres, one rood, and thirty-five
perches.
ninety-two acres, one rood, and five perches.
Lot No. 15, containing 102a. 1r. 30p.,
one hundred and two acres, one rood, and
thirty perches.
Lot No. 19, containing 124a. Or. 4p., one
hundred and twenty-four acres, and four
perches.
Lot No. 20, containing 91a. 2r. 24p.,
ninety-one acres, two roods, and twenty-four
perches.
Lot No. 21, containing 129a. 3r. 19p.,
one hundred and thirty-nine acres, three roods,
and nineteen perches.

Notices will be received at this Office, until Thursday,
the 16th day of March, next, from parties who
may be willing to enter into a Contract, to sup-
ply for the Colonial Service, during the year
commencing 1st April, 1843, the undermen-
tioned Provisions, in such quantities as may be
required :-

Biscuit, at per cwt.
Flour, per lb. and per cwt.

Fresh Pork at per lb.
Salt Pork, "
Salt Beef, "
Suet, "
Sugar, "
Tea, "
Maize Meal, "
Cotton Wick, "
Potatoes, "
Rice, per bushel,

Rum, per gallon,
Vinegar, "
Salt, per lb,
Soap, "
Oil Black, per Gallon,

Parties tendering will be required to name
two sureties for the due performance of the
Contract.

NOTICE is hereby given to the Purchasers
of Suburban Lots, who have been unable
to attend on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Instant, for
the purpose of having their boundaries pointed
out, according to the Notice of the 21st January,
in the Government Gazette: that a Surveyor
will be in attendance on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and
4th, of March next, for that purpose, after
which no application will be attended to.
