to be Sheriff for the District of Nelson, vice
Alexander McDonald, Esq., resigned.

HIS Excellency the Officer Administering
the Government directs it to be notified,
that MATHEW RICHMOND, Esq., Chief Police Ma-
gistrate at Wellington, has been appointed by
the Colonial Treasurer to demand and receive
Taxes payable in virtue of the Provisions of the
Raupo House Ordinance, Sess. II, No. 17, in
force in that Town.

the decease of His Royal Highness the
Duke of Sussex, which took place at Ken-
sington Palace, on Friday, the 21st instant.
