IS Excellency the OFFICER administering
the Government has directed it to be
notified that the duties of the Police Department,
at Hokianga, will, in future be performed by
THOMAS BECKHAM. Esquire,
Police Magistrate, at the Bay of Islands.

N OTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will
be received at this Office, until Thursday,
the 16th day of March, next, from parties who
may be willing to enter into a Contract, to sup-
ply for the Colonial Service, during the year
commencing 1st April, 1843, the undermen-
tioned Provisions, in such quantities as may be
required:β€”
Biscuit, at per cwt.
Flour, per lb. and per cwt.
Fresh Pork at per lb.
Salt Pork, "
Salt Beef, "
Suet, "
Sugar, "
Tea, "
Maize Meal, "
Cotton Wick, "
Potatoes,
Rice, "

Peas, per bushel,
Maize, "
Rum, per gallon,
Vinegar, "
Salt, per lb,
Soap, "
Parties tendering will be required to name
two sureties for the due performance of the
Contract.
Further information may be obtained on ap-
plication at this Office.

ALEXANDER MCGREGOR, deceased, intestate.

P URSUANT to the Rule of this Honorable
Court, the Creditors of the above-named
deceased, are, on or before the sixth day of
April next, to come in and prove the Debts
before Thomas Outhwaite, Esquire, Registrar of
the said Court, at his Office, in the Court House,
Queen Street, Auckland, or in default thereof,
they will be peremptorily excluded from all
benefit arising from the said Estate.
