NOTICE is hereby given, that a sitting of
the County Court, for the despatch of
criminal business, will be holden at the Court
House, at Kororareka, Bay of Islands, on Tues-
day the 17th day of January next, at 10 o'clock
in the forenoon, at which time and place, all
persons under recognizances to appear either as
prosecutors, defendants or witnesses, are required
to give their attendance.
The Court will be open for the despatch of
civil business on the following day.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the under-
mentioned Prisoners escaped from the
Gael at Nelson, on the 7th and 18th November,
1842.
Name, JOHN WOOD.
Time committed to Prison, November, 1st.
Height, about 5 feet 11 inches; colour of
eyes, grey; colour of hair, dark brown; complexion, sunburnt; age, supposed 25 years;
dress at time of escape, dirty kerseymere trou-
sers, blue flannel shirt, no cap, no shoes.
Date of Escape, November 7th.
Remarks. Supposed to have come to Nelson
from Kafia by land and in canoes; and supposed
to be returning thither in a whale boat, stolen
from Mr. Robert Tod, accompanied by two
seamen, one of the name of John Tarnbull, who
has been living at Kafia, the other named Davis.
Name, JAMES HENSLEY.
Trade or occupation, third mate of barque
New Zealand.
Time committed to Prison, November 14th.
Height, about 5 feet 8 inches; complexion,
fair; colour of eyes, blue; colour of hair, dark
brown; clothes, supposed to have an assort-
ment supplied by emigrants.
Date of escape, November 18th.
Remarks. Shipped on board the Susannah
Ann, sailing to Port Nicholson.

ALEXANDER MCGREGOR, deceased, intestate,
PURSUANT to the Rule of this Honorable
Court, the Creditors of the above-named
deceased, are, on or before the sixth day of
April next, to come in and prove the Debts
before Thomas Outhwaite, Esquire, Registrar of
the said Court, at his Office, in the Court House,
Queen Street, Auckland, or in default thereof,
they will be peremptorily excluded from all
benefit arising from the said Estate.
