to be Protector of Aborigines, in the Northern
District of New Munster.

OTICE is hereby given, that the Surveyors
who may wish to undertake Contract
Surveys, in connexion with the "Land Claims'
Ordinance," are requested to attend at the
Office of the Surveyor-General, on Tuesday the
1st of November, next, at 10 o'Clock, when the
necessary Licenses will be given to such as may
be found properly qualified.
Further information will be given on applica-
tion to the Surveyor-General; and persons in-
tending to Contract are requested to forward
applications on or before the above date.
