HIS Excellency the OFFICER administering
the Government directs it to be notified,
that the following Claims to Land in this Colony
have been referred to the Commissioners ap-
pointed under the Ordinance of the Governor
and Council of New Zealand, 5th Vict, Sess. 2,
No. 14; being in addition to the Claims notified
in the Government Gazette of New South Wales,
as referred to the Commissioners appointed un-
der the Act of the Governor and Council of that
Colony on the 9th November, 1840, and on the
9th, 16th, 23th, 30th March, and the 6th, 13th,
20th and 27th April, and in the Government
Gazette of this Colony, of the 18th August, and
13th, 20th, and 27th October, 20th November,
and 1st, 15th, and 22nd December, 1841; and
5th January, 28th March, 4th, 11th and 18th
May, 22nd June, and 28th September, 1842.
Parties are reminded, that, before such claims
can be investigated, they must pay to the Com-
missioner a fee of Five Pounds, as prescribed by
the Ordinance.

Bay of Islands, claimant,
3,200; Three thousand two hundred acres,
more or less, situate at Matrowdy Bay, bounded
on the west by a hill which runs out into the
sea, forming a small promontory, bearing about
N.N.E. from the peak of the large Cavallas
Islands, Cape Brett E&S, and Flat Island N.W.
by W., distant about 3\u00bd miles; on the East by
a point running out into the sea, on the North
by the sea with a frontage of 1400 yards, and
General Post Office,
