NOTICE is hereby given that Tenders will
be received at this office until noon on
Monday the 'twenty-ninth day of August, from
persons willing to enter into a contract for
supplying the Department of Public Works with
6,000 (six thopsand) Bricks, to be delivered
either in Commercial or Mechanic's Bay, as re-
quired.

Further information may be procured on
application at the Office of the Superintendent
of Public Works.

By His Excellency's Command,
WILLOUGHBY SHORTLAND.

THE Commissioners appointed to examine
and report upon claims to grants ot Land,
do hereby give notice to all parties interested,
that the following claim advertised in the Gazette
of the 17th instant, will be examined at Hoki-
anga, on Thursday, the 1st day of December next
and following days, instead of at Wangaroa;

No. 182. ANDREW O'BRIEN, of Sydney,
claimant.

60,000, Sixty thousand acres, more or less, at
Tuka Tuka, fronting Wisro, alias Wykaka, for
34 miles, bounded by Wykaka creek, and on
the east by tea trees, and running back to Man-
ganui river.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1839, from Tara Mariroa, chief of the
Tareohu.

Consideration: cash and goods, amounting to
£44 12s. 6d. sterling of £679 agreed upon.

Nature of conveyance: deed, dated 28th of
December, 1839.

TIMBER.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will
be received at this Office, until noón on
Monday, the 29th instant, from Persons willing
to enter into a Contract to supply the Depart-
ment of Public Works with the under-men-
tion quantities of Timber :-

3000 super. feet & inch lining boards.
50 do do do do 12 in. wide.
100 do inch boarding.
No. 11 boards, 13 ft. by 12 in., by 14 in. thick.
No. 13 do 8 ft. by 12 in., by 1 do.
No. 13 joists 13 ft. by 6 in., by 3 do.

To be delivered at the Court House, Queen
Street.

420 super feet scantling, 6 in. by 3 in.
1300 do flooring boards.
400 do inch boards, 8 in. wide.

To be delivered at the Custom House, Princes
Street.

400 feet 2 inch planks.
300 do 1 do flooring boards.
200 do do lining do.
No. 16 joists, 15 ft. long, 6 by 3.

To be delivered at the Gaol, in Queen Street.

Further information may be procured on ap-
plication at the Office of the Superintendent of
Public Works.
