No. 101. WILLIAM RICHARDSON GUNDRY, of
Hokianga, claimant.
500, Five hundred acres, more or less, situate
on the river Waima, called Kohi; bounded on
the west by a line from a Kouri tree, near the
Waima water's edge, bearing in a north-west
direction to another Kauri tree: on the ridge of
hills at the back, which separates this land from
Kari Wininee, W. Nicholson's land; from this
tree in a line north-north-east to the loftiest, or
southern extreme, of the back range of hills;
from this range the near boundary goes to a
Rata tree, from that in a line bearing south, and
by west to the mouth of the creek which empties
into the Waima, to form the eastern boundary
to the bank of the river, and which river gives
the frontage to this land.
Alleged to have been purchased by John Ryan,
on the 6th January, 1840, through whom
claimant derives, from the native chiefs
Taunto, Komani, and Kaitare.
Consideration: goods, value £61.16s.

2000, Two thousand acres, more or less, on
the east bank of the Hokianga, called Te Toke,
&c.; bounded on the north by the road to the
Bay of Islands; on the east by a line running
south-west; on the south by a line running
along the banks of a creek, called Te Awa Tapu,
descending from the hills; and on the west by a
line running, by compass, in a north-east direc-
tion.
Alleged to have been purchased by Mr. G. F.
Russell, in September, 1835, through whom
claimant derives, from the native chiefs
Paroa, Puariki, and others.
Consideration: cash and goods, amounting to
£134 13s.

No. 122 a. HENRY JELLICOE, of, claimant.
100, One hundred acres, more or less, situate
on the east bank of the Hokianga, called Pe
Ngaio, and adjoining No. 122; bounded on the
west by a creek, Te Patara, and on the south by
a line running in a north-east direction, as far as
creek Te Pukoro: on the east by the creek Te
Pukoro; and on the north by the main river,
between the above creeks, Te Potara and Te
Pukoto.
Alleged to have been purchased by Mr. G. F.
Russell, in December, 1836, through whom
claimant derives, from the native chiefs
Nene, Haromona, and Paroa.
Consideration: cash and goods amounting to
of £29 10s. sterling.

No. 129. JAMES KELLY, WILLIAM NICHOLSON,
JAMES PHILLIP LLOYD, JOHN BAKER, and
THOMAS HOLLINGSWORTH, all of Hokianga,
claimants.
2560, Two thousand five hundred and sixty
acres, more or less, situate on the river
Waima; bounded by a creek, called Pakai-
koto, entrance west by north, and leading out
down, up to and extending to the mouth of
Waima Creek, bearing south-south-east, water
frontage 2 miles, and extending inland 2 miles.
Alleged to have been purchased by Messrs.
J. Stewart and E. Fishwick, the former of
whom relinquished his interest to the latter,
who then disposed of the land to Messrs.
J. Ryan and J. Kelly: Ryan sold to James
Pearson, who sold to J. Kelly, who sold to
W. Nicholson, who sold to J. P. Lloyd
and the remaining quarters to J. Baker
and T. Hollingsworth: from the native
chiefs Wairangi, Etakadaa, and others.
Consideration: goods, value £40 12s.
Nature of conveyance: deed dated 24th No-
