No. 196.-WILLIAM POWDITCH, of Wangaroa,
claimant.

140, One hundred and forty acres. Being a
point of land in Wangaroa harbour, called Kim-
ingu; bounded on three sides by salt water,
and on the other by a line of water course
through two connecting valleys, from salt water
to salt water.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1835, from native chiefs, not named.
Consideration-cash and goods to the amount
of £17 sterling.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

No. 196a-WILLIAM POWDITCH, of Wangaroa,
claimant.

1080, One thousand and eighty acres at Wai-
tapu. Bounded by a chain of hills forming the
contour of the valley, the higher ridge called
Mongopiko, dividing it from the valleys of the
river Kio, and continuing round, enclosing the
head of the Waitapa creek, returning to the salt
water by a fork dividing it from the valley
of Grangahepu on the north, and fronted by the
shoal-head of the bay of Kiminga.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1835, from native chiefs, not named.
Consideration-cash and goods to the amount
of £70 sterling.

No. 196b.-WILLIAM POWDITCH, of Wangaroa,
claimant.

3000, Three thousand acres. A piece of land
called Waigould or Ogoulo or Paripari, adjoining
claim 198a. Bounded by the range confining
the waters of the Waigould creek, and fronted
by the river Kio.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1839, from the native chiefs, not named.
Consideration-cash and goods to the amount
of £150 sterling.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

No. 205.-THOMAS RYAN, of the Bay of Islands,
claimant.

300, Three hundred acres, at Mongonin,
bounded by a line commencing at the north
point of Wyough beach; thence running round
the east head of Mongonin river; and thence up
the said river to the point in Mongonin bay;
and then by a line running east up the Kyhure-
hura creek; and bounded on the north by
Thomas Ryan's brushwood land.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1836, from the native chiefs Ehura,
Wairy, Coury, and others.
Consideration-goods, to the amount of
£79 6s. sterling.
Nature of conveyance-instrument in writing
dated May 14th, 1836.

No. 205a.-THOMAS RYAN, of the Bay of Islands
claimant.

320, Three hundred and twenty acres, at
Mongonui, at the back of the land in claim
No. 205, and extending in breadth from the
Kyhurahura creek to the Keahe creek, and ex-
tending back four miles.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1836, from the native chiefs Nakewa,
Etesra, and others.
Consideration-goods to the amount of
£5 6s. sterling.
Nature of conveyance-instrument in writing,
dated June 4th, 1836.

No. 205 b.-THOMAS RYAN, of the Bay of
Islands, claimant.

150, One hundred and fifty acres, at Mongo-
nui; bounded on the north by a mountain
range; on the east by native land-marks; on
the south by No. 205a., and on the west and
part of the south by the bay.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1838, from the native chiefs Teori and
Ehira.
Consideration-goods to the amount of
£11 1s. sterling.
Nature of conveyance-instrument in writing,
dated September 21st, 1838.

No. 205 c.-THOMAS RYAN, of the Bay of
Islands, claimant.

1500, Fifteen hundred acres, called Kaponga,
about 25 miles up the river Odudu; and bounded
on all sides by the land of the natives.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1837, from the native chiefs Rokara,
Ekohe, and others.
Consideration-cash and goods to the amount
of £26 4s. sterling.
Nature of conveyance-instrument in writing,
dated November 9th, 1837.

No. 205 d.-THOMAS RYAN, of the Bay of
Islands, claimant.

10, Ten acres, called Wykehe; bounded on
the north by a small bay; on the east by land
of Charles Holman; and on the south and west
by land of James Berghan and Thos. Ryan.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
in 1838, from the native chief Ewarri.
Consideration -goods to the amount of
£8 sterling.
Nature of conveyance-instrument in writing
dated June 21st, 1833.

No. 214 o. THOMAS SPICER, of Bay of Islands,
claimant.

A piece of land between Wangaroa and Mon-
ganui, bounded on one side by a claim of James
Busby, and on the other by lands of Akero,
running about 20 miles to Kiuhui and Tapata-
kaka, bounded in front by the sea.
