NOTICE OF HEARING.

Land Commissioners Office,
Auckland, 8th August, 1842.

I, MATHEW RICHMOND, a Commis-
sioner appointed to examine and report
upon Claims to Grants of Land, do hereby give
notice, that I will proceed to investigate the un-
dermentioned, at Waimate, on Wednesday, the
10th day of November, 1842, and following
days, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon. All parties
interested are hereby summoned to be in attend-
ance, with their documents and witnesses; and
they are reminded that the fee of Five Pounds
must be paid to the Commissioner before the
investigation of any claim or opposition thereto.
Claimants are also required to bring all original
Deeds, (and translations thereof, if in the Maori
language,) relating to their claims-with copies
of the same, the latter to remain with the
Commissioner.

No. 307, BENJAMIN ASHWELL, of Waimate,
claimant,

20, Twenty acres, more or less, in the district
of Waimate.
Boundaries not stated.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Kowiti, by claimant, in 1836,
Consideration-Cash, £12.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

No. 373. JAMES HAMLIN, of Orua, Manakau,
claimant.

42, Forty-two acres, more or less, at Wai-
mate, bounded on the north by Morakerake, and
by land claimed by Mr. Kemp, on the west by a
wood called Keheran and Kehaw, on the south
by a wood called Temata, on the east by the
lands of Tawakawaka and Ranga.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant
from the native chiefs Huarah, Kino, and
others, in 1834.

Consideration-Cash and goods amounting to
£16.
Nature of conveyance-nor stated.

No. 373 a, -JAMES HAMLIN, of Orua, Manukau,
claimant.

45, Forty-five acres, more or less, at Waimate,
bounded on the north and north-west by Tantara,
on the west by the stream Tawahuhua and Ko-
puatemanga, on the south and south-west by
Wakamarumaru, on the east by the stream Te
Pohe and Waipatukahu.

Alleged to have been purchased by claimant,
in 1834, from the native chiefs Huahiu,
Kino, and others.
Consideration-Cash and goods amounting
to £23.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

tised for investigation in the Governmet Gazettes
of the 18th August, 1841, the 24th November,
1841, and the 5th January, 1842.
