HIS Excellency the GOVERNOR has been
pleased to direct the publication of the
following Dispatch from the Right Honourable
Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for
the Colonies, announcing the birth of an Infant
Prince.

November, 30th 1841.

SIR,

It is my pleasing duty to announce to you,
that on the morning of the 9th instant, at twelve
minutes before eleven o'clock, the Queen was
happily delivered of a Prince, to the great joy
of the Nation, and of all the Royal Family.

Her Majesty and the infant Prince have,
through Divine mercy, continued to do well up
to the present time.

A PUBLIC MEETING will be held on
Monday next, the 30th instant, at the
Royal Hotel, to offer an address of congratu-
lation to Her Majesty on the auspicious event
of the birth of a Prince; on which occasion
His Excellency the Governor will take the Chair
at 12 o'clock.

WILLOUGHBY SHORTLAND.

Government House,
Auckland, May 25th, 1842.

LEVE E.

HIS Excellency the GOVERNOR will hold a
Levee at Government House on Monday,
the 30th instant, at half past one o'clock.
Gentlemen attending the Levee are requested
to bring their Cards to be delivered to the Aid-
de-Camp.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency WILLIAM HOBSON, Esq.,
Captain in Her Majesty's Royal Navy,
and Governor and Commander in Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand, and its Dependencies, and Vice
Admiral of the same.

WHEREAS, by an Ordinance enacted by
the Governor of New Zealand, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council
