Case No. 409.-R. ESPIE, of East Cape, claimant.
100 acres more or less, situate at St. Patrick's
Cove, East Cape, bounded on the east by the
sea, on the west by native land marks, on the
south and north by the sea.

Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Poti, by claimant, in May,
1838.

Consideration given to the natives-goods to
the value of £16.

Nature of conveyance-not stated.

Case No. 409 (a).-R. ESPIE, of East Cape, on
behalf of Margaret Espie, his daughter,
claimant.

300 acres more or less, known by the name of
Warepunga, situate at the East Cape-bounda-
ries not stated.

Alleged to have been given to claimant by a
native chieftainess named Tucki, in June,
1839.

Nature of conveyance-not stated.

Case No. 410.-JOHN JACKSON, Queen Char-
lotte's Sound, claimant.

150 acres more or less, situate within the Bay
called Koetoetoe, between Jackson's bay and a
bay called Amahou, in the southern entrance of
Queen Charlotte's Sound, extending from the
extreme point of the former bay westward until
it meets the eastern point of Amahou Bay, and
extending eastward until it meets the western
point of Jackson's bay, and running from the
above named points in a northerly direction to
the summit of the hills.

Alleged to have been purchased from certain
native chiefs, not named, by claimant, on
the 21st December, 1839.

Consideration given to the natives-a quan-
tity of merchandize, value not stated.

Nature of conveyance-not stated.

Case No. 99 (a).-J. GUARD, of Cloudy Bay,
claimant.

Two acres more or less, situate at Ta Kapo
Bay, and the back of the premises of the said J.
Guard.

Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Ahie, by claimant, on the 12th
of August, 1839.

Consideration given to the natives-not sta-
ted.

Nature of conveyance-an agreement in wri-
ting in favor of claimant, dated as above.

Case No. 411.-JOSEPH TOMs, of Queen Char-
lotte's Sound, claimant.

5 acres more or less, situate at Ka Kapa bay,
in Cloudy Bay-boundaries not stated.

Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Nau Awara, Awe ha ha Apo,
by John Guard, who sold to Geo. T. Clay-
ton, who sold to claimant.

Consideration given to the natives-not sta-
ted.

Nature of conveyance- an agreement in favor
of John Guard, dated 30th March, 1836.

Case No. 411 (a). -JOSEPH TOMS, of Queen
Charlotte's Sound, claimant.

3 acres more or less, situate at the mouth of
the Purrie Rua river, or Paramatta-boundaries
not stated.

Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief A Ki, by claimant, on 1st
May, 1838.

Consideration given to the natives-not sta-
ted.

Nature of conveyance-a deed in favor of
claimant, dated as above.
