the Supplies, are to be transmitted by the Head
of the Department, enclosed in the usual Ab-
stracts, to this Office on the 8th; when, if found
correct, and supported by the proper authorities
and vouchers, they will be passed to the Colonial
Treasurer for payment on the 14th.
The Heads of Departments are particularly
enjoined to use their utmost exertions to give
effect to these arrangements, as well in pointing
out to persons having Claims on Government,
the nature of the Accounts to be given in, as in
expediting their transmission to this Office when
furnished.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will
be received at this Office until noon of
Wednesday, the 4th August, for furnishing for
the Colonial Service the under-mentioned Sup-
plies, in such quantities as may be required,
until the end of the current year, upon the con-
ditions hereinafter specified.

All the Articles required by this notice, are to
be of the best quality of their several kinds.
As adequate security will be required for the
fulfilment of the Contract, no Tender can be at-
tended unless accompanied by a certificate
from the parties proposed as securities, stating
that they are willing to become bound for the
Contractor accordingly, and the Bonds must be
executed within ten days from the date of the
notification of the acceptance of the Tender:
failing of which, the Contracts will be again ad-
vertised, or another Tender accepted.
The Tenders to contain the name of the Ten-
derers and their sureties, and places of residence,
at length.
The value of all packages to be included in the
prices demanded.
Tenders to be enclosed in a separate envelope,
and to be marked "Tender for Barter," Tender
for Stationery," as the case may be.
For further particulars regarding the conditions
of the Contract, application must be made to the
Colonial Store-keeper, to whom the Goods will
be required to be delivered.

and Council, 4 and 5 Victoria, No. 3, intituled,
"An Ordinance for the better regulating the
Collection of Customs' Duties in New Zealand,"
to be published for general information.

New Zealand and its Dependencies, on and after
