THE Commissioner hereby notified that a
Court of Requests for the District of
Auckland, will be holden at the Court House, on
Thursday, the sixth day of January next, at 10
o'clock in the forenoon of the same day.

QUARTER SESSIONS.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the next Ge-
neral Quarter Sessions of the Peace for
the District of Auckland, in the Colony of New
Zealand, will be holden at the Court House, in
Auckland, aforesaid, on Tuesday, the fourth
day of January next, at 10 o'clock in the fore-
noon, at which time and place all persons under
recognizance to appear either as Prosecutors,
Defendants, or Witnesses, or who may have Ap-
peals to interpose, or other business to transact,
are desired to give their attendance, and all
others interested and whose attendance is requi-
red, are hereby to take Notice accordingly.

sell, and the Bay of Islands, will be holden at the
Court House, in Russell, on Thursday, the 3rd
day of February, next, at 10 o'Clock in the fore-
noon of the same day. The necessary Forms and
all summonses and other proceedings may be ob-
tained on application at the Police Office, Russell.

QUARTER SESSIONS, BAY OF ISLANDS.
NOTICE is hereby given that the next General
Quarter Sessions of the Peace, for the
District of Russell, and Bay of Islands, in the Co-
lony of New Zealand, will be holden at the Court
House, in Russell, aforesaid, on Tuesday, the
25th of January, next, at 10 o'Clock in the
forenoon of the same day, at which time and
place, all persons under recognizance to appear
either as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses,
or who may have Appeals to interpose, or other
business to transact, are desired to give their atten-
dance; and all Magistrates, Jurors, Constables,
and others interested, whose attendance is requi-
red, are hereby to take notice accordingly.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the under-
mentioned Prisoners escaped from the Gaol
at Russell, on the 17th of November last, viz.—
William Chalks, aged about 41 years, height 5
feet 8 inches, stout made, round full face, hair
black, whiskets sandy, nose broken and near
half flat.
John M'Kenny, aged about 26 years, height 5
feet 10 inches, face long, complexion sandy, hair
and whiskers light, slender made.
All Constables are directed to search for and
apprehend them if found.
A Reward of 40s. each will be paid by Govern-
ment to the parties apprehending them.
The Public are cautioned against harbouring
these runaways.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Public Pound
has been erected at the corner of Cuba
and Manners-streets, (Ti Aro,) in the Town of
Wellington, and that Mr. James Henry Butler
has been this day duly appointed Keeper thereto,
under the provision of the act of the Governor and
Council of New South Wales, 4th William IV.
No.3, adopted in this Colony by the Ordinance
of the Governor and Council, 4th Victoria, No. 1.
