GENERAL POST OFFICE,
AUCKLAND, DECEMBER 13, 1841.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, for the information of Parties concerned, that a number of
Letters bearing the following superscriptions, forwarded by the Post-master of Wellington for
further transmission, "via Sydney," have been returned to me by the Postmaster-General of New
South Wales, in consequence of an informality in the mode in which they were forwarded, arising
from the temporary connexion of that Office with the Sydney Establishment.

The returned Letters were received on the 5th instant, and have been, for the most part, again
despatched as specified below.

Full instruction on this subject had been furnished from this Office to the Postmaster of Welling-
ton on the 10th November ultimo, so that no recurrence of this interruption need be apprehended.
