IN consequence of the non-arrival of one of
the Members ot the Legislative Council, His
Excellency the GOVERNOR has been pleased to
direct that the meeting of the said Council fixed
for Thursds the 9th instant be postponed until
Tuesday the 14th day of December, 1841.

PORTS OF ENTRY.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 6th December, 1841,

NOTICE is hereby given, that His Excellency
the GOVERNOR has been pleased to approve
the undermentioned Ports, situate in the Northern
Island of New Zealand, or New Ulster, as
PORTS OF ENTRY for the Colony.

AUCKLAND.
BAY OF ISLANDS.
PORT NICHOLSON.

By His Excellency's Command,
WILLOUGHBY SHORTLAND.

TAKEN possession of by the Police. 7 boards
of Kauri, 19 feet long by 9Β½ inches broad,
and 13 flooring boards of Kaikatia, 16 feet long,
supposed to have been stolen from the Beach in
Store Bay.

The Boards may be seen on application to the
Chief Constable, and unless owned on or before
Saturday next, will be sold by Public Auction
and the produce applied in payment of expences,

NOTICE is hereby given, that the under-
mentioned Prisoners escaped from the Gaol
at Russell, on the 17th of November last, viz.

William Chalks. aged about 41 years, height 5
feet 8 inches, stout made, round full face, hair
black, whiskets sandy, nose broken and near
half flat.

John M'Kenny, aged about 26 years, height 5
feet 10 inches. face long, complexion sandy, hair
and whiskers light, slender made.

All Constables are directed to search for and
apprehend them if found.

A Reward of 40s. each will be paid by Govern-
ment to the parties apprehending them.

The Public are cautioned against harbouring
these runaways.

SALE OF TOWN ALLOTMENTS.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 4th December, 1841.

AT Eleven o'clock on TUESDAY, the 1st
March, 1842, the Colonial Treasurer will
put up to AUCTION, at the Colonial Treasury,
Auckland, the undermentioned TOWN ALLOT-
MENTS, on the terms authorised by Government.

Further information respecting the Allotments
may be obtained from the Surveyor General, and
respecting the Conditions of Sale, from the Colo-
nial Treasurer.

SECTION No. 14.

  1. Town of Auckland, Oa. Or. 33p., thirty-
    three perches, more or less. Allotment 1 of
    Section 14. Price Β£80 per acre.
