PETTY SESSIONS FOR THE TRANSFER OF
PUBLICANS' LICENSES.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Court
of Petty Sessions will be held at the Police
Office, Auckland, at Eleven o'clock in the fore-
noon of Tuesday next, the 7th day of December,
for the Transfer of Publicans Licenses.

HIS Excellency the GOVERNOR directs it
to be notified, that the following Claims to
Land in this Colony, have been referred to the
Commissioners appointed under the Ordinance
of the Governor and Council of New Zealand,
4 Victoria, No. 2; being in addition to the claims
notified in the Government Gazette of New South
Wales, as referred to the Commissioners appointed
under the act of the Governor and Council of that
Colony, on the 9th November, 1840, and on the
9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th March, and 6th 12th,
20th, and 27th April, and in the Government
Gazette of this Colony, of the 18th August, and
13th, 20th and 27th October, and 20th Novem-
ber, 1841.
Parties are reminded, that before their claims
can be investigated, they must pay to the Com-
missioners a fee of Five pounds, as prescribed by
the Ordinance.

Case No 299 (p)-R. DAVIS, of Waimate, on
behalf of the Church Missionary Society,
claimant.
600, Six hundred acres, more or less, situated
about 18 miles in a northerly direction, from
Kororarika, at the head of Tareha's Bay, boun-
daries not stated.
Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chiefs of the district by the Agents of the
Church Missionary Society, in the year
1823.
Consideration given to the natives-a quantity
of tools, value not stated.
Nature of conveyance-deed in favor of the
Church Missionary Society.
Case No. 299 (q)-R. Davis, of Waiemate, on
behalf the Church Mission Society, claimant.
1,500, One thousand five hundred acres, more
or less, situated at Kaitaia, about 23 miles south-
west of Runckle Point, boundaries not stated.
Alleged to have been purchased from the native
chiefs of the district by the Agents of the
Church Missionary Society in the years
1834 and 1839.
Consideration given to the natives-in trade,
principally, to the amount of Β£153.
Nature of conveyance-not stated.

1,000, One thousand acres, more or less,
situated at Waimate, about 16 miles north west
of Kororarika, boundaries not stated.
