PROCLAMATION.
By His EXCELLENCY WILLIAM HOBSON,
ESQUIRE, Captain in Her Ma-
jesty's Royal Navy, and Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and
over Her Majesty's Colony of
New Zealand, and its Dependen-
cies, and Vice Admiral of the
same, &c. &c. &c.
WHEREAS by Letters Patent, under the
Great Seal of the High Court of Admi-
ralty of England, bearing date the thirteenth day
of March, one thousand eight hundred and forty-
one, her Majesty has been graciously pleased to
ordain, constitute, and depute me, William
Hobson, Esquire, Captain in her Majesty's Royal
Navy, her Majesty's Vice Admiral, Commissary,
and Deputy in the Office of Vice Admiralty in
her Colony of New Zealand and the Territories
thereon depending.
Now I, the Governor and Commander-in-Chief
of the Colony of New Zealand aforesaid, do pro-
claim and declare this her Majesty's pleasure,
and that I have this day assumed the powers and
authority vested in me thereby.
Given under my Hand and Seal, this
twenty-seventh day of August, in the
year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and forty-one.

COUNCILβPRIVATE BILLS.
HIS Excellency the GOVERNOR is pleased to
direct it to be notified for general informa-
tion, that persons intending to apply for Private
Ordinances during the ensuing Session of the
Legislative Council, must transmit Drafts of the
Bills to the Clerk of Councils, at Auckland, on
or before the First day of November next.

NOTICE.
ALL Persons having claims on the late firm
of J. A. Brown and Co., will please to send
in their Accounts for Payment to me; and all
Persons indebted to the said Firm will be pleased
to settle the same.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
which has hitherto existed between Joseph
Aberline and David Fitzpatrick, as Traders and
General Dealers, at the Bay of Islands, New
Zealand, is this day dissolved, the said David
Fitzpatrick having failed to comply with the terms
and conditions of the co-partnership deed.
Dated at Kororarika, 16th August, 1841.
