AUCKLAND COURT OF REQUESTS.
Auckland, Sept. 11th, 1841.
THE Commissioner hereby notifies that a Court
of Requests for the District of Auckland, will
be holden at the School-house, on Thursday, the
seventh day of October next, at Ten o'Clock in
the forenoon, and on subsequent days at the same
hour and place.
Forms of Proceedings in this Court may be ob-
tained, together with all necessary information, at
the Office of C. B. Brewer, Esq. Registrar.

The following Rule and Order of the Commis-
sioner of the Court of Requests, Auckland, is
published for General Information.
COURT OF REQUESTS,
Township and District of Auckland,
Sept. 11th, 1841.
IT it ordered, that from and after the publica-
tion of this Rule, no Summons will be issued
for any future Court, unless the same be taken
out and served upon the Defendant at least five
Days before the Day of Hearing.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will be
received at this Office until Noon of Saturday,
the Eighteenth Instant, from parties willing to
enter into a Contract for the erection of a
Causeway over Hobson's Creek, on the road to
Manakao, to be constructed of Scoria.
Tenders are to contain the names of two parties
who are willing to become bound for the Con-
tractor, for the due performance of the work, the
Bond for which must be executed within ten days
after the notification of the acceptance of the
Tender.
A Plan and Specification may be seen at the
Office of the Surveyor General, where all other
particulars may be obtained.

HIS Excellency the GOVERNOR has been
pleased to direct that the following clauses
of the Act of the Governor and Council of New
South Wales, 7, Gul. IV., No. 7, intituled " An
Act for the better regulating the keeping and
carriage of Gunpowder," adopted in this Colony
by an Ordinance of the Governor and Council of
New Zealand, 4, Vic., No. 1, be published for
general information.
All parties residing in Auckland, and having
Gunpowder in their possession to the extent
provided for in this Act, are hereby required to
furnish to the Colonial Storekeeper a return
thereof, on or before the 16th day of September
next, when a day will be appointed for the
delivery of the Gunpowder into the Magazine.
Persons residing at the Bay of Islands are
hereby required to send in to the Police Magis-
trate of that District a return of the quantity of
Gunpowder in their possession, when that officer
will appoint a day for the delivery of the same
into the Government Magazine, ordered to be
erected on Tapu Point.
