ROBERT HENRY WYNWARD, Com-
panion of the most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Lieutenant-
Governor of the Province of New
Ulster, &c., &c.
I, the Lieutenant-Governor of the Pro-
vince of New Ulster, do hereby proclaim
that at eleven o'clock, A.M., on Wednesday,
the 26th day of May, 1852, the Resident
Magistrate will put up to Auction, at Mon-
gonui, the undermentioned allotments of Land,
hereby declared to be within the limits of
Settlement.
Immediate payment in cash to be an indis-
pensable condition of Sale.

Borough of Auckland, and, in pursuance of
the provision of the 62nd Clause of the Charter,
submitted to the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR for
his approval, His Excellency has been pleased
to sanction the same:—
FREDERICK WARD MERRIMAN, Esq., to be
Town Clerk, and LAUGHLAN O'BRIEN, Esq., to
be Treasurer, for the Borough of Auckland.

IN pursuance of the 20th clause of the Re-
sident Magistrates' Courts Ordinance,
Session 7, No. 16, I hereby select and appoint
the following Aboriginal Natives to be Asses-
sors along with the Resident Magistrate for
the district of Auckland, for settling disputes
between persons of the Aboriginal Race; that
is to say:—
KAUWAU, of Okahu, Chief of Ngatiwhatua;
TINANA, of Orakei, Chief of Ngatiwhatua; and
TE KEENE, of Orakei, Chief of Ngatiwhatua.
