HIS Excellency the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR has been pleased to appoint
Mr. WILLIAM YOUNG
to be Assistant Pilot for the Hokianga River ; and
Mr. WILLIAM BUTLER
to be Pilot for the Port of Monganui.

TENDERS FOR ROAD METAL.

Auckland, 27th January, 1852.
NO TENDER having been received for the supply of 600 cubic yards of Road Metal in reply to the notice in the Government Gazette of the 14th instant, it is hereby notified that the time for receiving such Tenders has been extended to MONDAY, the 16th of February, at noon.
Description of the Stone required, and other particulars, can be obtained by applying to the Superintendent of Public Works.

IMPOUNDED in the Public Pound, Hobson's Bridge, a red poley Cow, Y off hip ; a red Steer, JM off rump; a red and white spotted Heifer, no brand legible; a black Goat, no brand; a black and white Goat, no brand; a yellow and white Goat, no brand; a white Goat, no brand; a yellow and white Goat, no brand.
If not claimed, we will be sold at the Pound, at noon, on the 1st day of March, 1852.
