NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal Business will be holden at the Court House, Auckland, on WEDNESDAY, the first day of December next, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon; and that a Sitting for the despatch of Civil Business will be holden at the Court House, on TUESDAY, the 7th day of December next, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which times and place all persons under recognizance to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses are required to give their attendance.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Election of Common Councillors for the undermentioned Wards, in the Borough of Auckland, will take place in the Court House, Howick, on the 18th day of November next.

The Voting will commence at nine o'clock in the morning, and close at four in the afternoon of the same day.

Voters will be required to deliver to the Returning Officer a voting paper, containing the christian and surname of the Party for whom he votes, together with his place of abode and description, signed with the name of the burgess so voting, and setting forth his place of abode and description.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

A BLACK painted cask BUOY has been placed over the centre of the rocky ledge at the Southern end of the Waiheke passage.

As the shoal is of considerable extent, vessels drawing much water should not pass within a cable's length on either side of the Buoy. To the generality of coasting vessels it is not dangerous.

In case of accident to the Buoy, the shoal may easily be avoided by keeping towards Punui Island, on the Eastern side of the passage.

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Justices of the Peace for the City and District of Auckland, will be holden at the Resident Magistrate's Court, at Auckland, on TUESDAY, the 7th day of December next, at twelve o'clock, noon, for the purpose of receiving applications for the transfer of Publicans' Licenses.

IMPOUNDED in the Public Pound, Hobson's Bridge, for trespassing in the enclosed garden of Mr. John Styack, at the Tamaki:—

One red Steer, branded C or GS off shoulder; one white Steer, branded C or GS off shoulder,—both about two years old.

If not claimed the above animals will be sold at the Pound, on the 30th day of November, 1852, at noon.

October 31st, 1852.

IMPOUNDED in the Public Pound, Hobson's Bridge, for trespassing on the enclosed land of J. Greenwood, Esq., at Mungarei:—

One red Ox, branded AMD near rump; one red Bull, about two years old, and the appearance of an illegible brand on off ribs.

If not claimed the above animals will be sold at the Pound, on the 30th day of November, 1852, at noon.

IMPOUNDED at the Public Pound, Hobson's Bridge, for trespassing in the enclosed Native cultivation at Pukaitapapa, by a Native, Manawawai—

One Black Mare, spot in forehead, aged, no brand legible, off hind foot white.

One Black Filly, white fet, and star in forehead, two years old.

One Black Colt, star in forehead, yearling.

One Chesnut Mare, blaze down face, no brand legible, aged.

One Two-year old Filly, blaze down face, no brand legible.

Owners Unknown.

If the above horses are not claimed, they will be sold at the Pound on the 30th day of November, 1852, at noon.
