has been pleased to direct that the
following Notice be republished for general
information.

Notice for general information.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Notice is hereby given, that a Fairway has
been marked off from Gellibrand's Point to the
entrance of the River Yarra, with black buoys
on the Port side, and red buoys on the Star-
board side.

No Vessel, Steamer, Lighter, or Boat, shall
anchor across the entrance, or in the Fairway
between these buoys.

Vessels, drawing Ten feet and under, may
anchor on the Williamstown side within the
line of black buoys, leaving the approach to the
Wharf clear for Steam-boats.

Vessels, Lighters, or Boats, are on no account
to anchor in the middle of any part of the
River Yarra, but when detained they shall lay
close over on either side of the River.


TENDERS FOR SPARS.

Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland,
August 10th, 1852.

HIS Excellency the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR
has been pleased to direct, with reference
to the notice in the Gazette of the 14th
ultimo, inviting Tenders for Spars for the
Service of Her Majesty's Government, that
the time for receiving the same should be
extended to the 31st instant at noon.

NOTICE.

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Justices
of the Peace for the "City and Dis-
trict of Auckland," will be holden at the
Resident Magistrate's Court, at Auckland, on
TUESDAY, the seventh day of September next,
at Twelve o'clock, noon, for the purpose of
receiving applications for the transfer of Pub-
licans' Licenses.
