NOTICE.

Colonial Secretary's Office, Auckland,
August 2nd, 1852.

HIS Excellency the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR has been pleased to direct and appoint that at the forthcoming Election of a person to serve as a Member for the Pensioner Settlements in the Provincial Legislative Council, there shall be an additional Polling Place at Howick, at such convenient place as shall be specified by the Returning Officer for the Pensioner Settlements District.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of the 12th day of August, for certain FENCING required for the Public Service.

Particulars can be learnt by applying to the Deputy Surveyor General, at the Survey Office.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of the 12th day of August, for continuing the present Pathway through the Auckland Park to the Epsom Road.

Specifications of the work to be done can be seen by applying to the Deputy Surveyor General, at the Survey Office.

HIS Excellency the LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR has been pleased to appoint JOSIAH FLIGHT, Esq., Resident Magistrate at New Plymouth, to be Deputy Registrar of Births, Marriages, and Deaths, for the District of Taranaki.

SUPREME COURT.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal Business will be holden at the Court House, Auckland, on WEDNESDAY, the first day of September next, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon; and that a Sitting for the despatch of Civil Business will be holden at the Court House, on TUESDAY, the 7th day of September next, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which times and place all persons under Recognizance to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are required to give their attendance.
