NOTICE.

Province of New Ulster,
to wit.

WHEREAS, a Writ under the hand of Lieutenant-Colonel ROBERT HENRY WYNWARD, Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of New Ulster, &c., &c., bearing date the sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, hath been directed to me, THOMAS BECKHAM, Esquire, as Returning Officer for the City of Auckland, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by, and from amongst, the Electors, duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form by Law prescribed, three persons to serve in the Provincial Council for the City of Auckland : Now, therefore, I the said THOMAS BECKHAM, Esquire, Returning Officer for the City of Auckland, do hereby, in pursuance of the said recited Writ, give Notice that a Public Meeting of the Electors of the City of Auckland will be holden in the Market Place, Shortland-street, Auckland, on the 30th day of August next, at ten o'clock, A.M., for the purpose of Nominating three Members to serve in the Provincial Council for the City, and in the event of a Poll being demanded for the Candidates, or any of them, such Polling shall take place on the 31st day of August next, at such Market Place aforesaid, the Voting to commence at any time after nine o'clock of the said day, and to close at four in the afternoon of the same day.

IMPOUNDED, in the Public Pound, Hobson's Bridge, by NA WILLIAM, for trespassing in an enclosed cultivation at Orakei, a white Cow, red spots on neck, head, and tip of ears; branded like WD off rump. Owner unknown.

If the above animal is not claimed, it will be sold at the Pound, at noon of the 4th day of August, 1852.
