PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Major-General GEORGE DEAN PITT, Knight of the Royal Hanoverian Guelphic Order, Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of New Ulster, &c., &c.
I, the Lieutenant Governor of the Province of New Ulster, do hereby proclaim that at 11 o’clock on Tuesday, the 21st day of January, 1851, the Colonial Treasurer will put up to Auction, at Auckland, the undermentioned allotments of land, hereby declared to be within the limits of settlement.
Immediate payment in cash to be an indispensable condition of sale.

to be a Justice of the Peace for the Province of New Ulster.

His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief has been pleased to grant the following Pensions for wounds received during the suppression of the late rebellion at the Bay of Islands, according to the provisions of the “Pensions Ordinance,” No. 3, Session 10.
To MARK DENT.................. 1s. per diem,
“ WM. WAKA TURAU........ 1s. per diem,
to commence from the 1st of September, 1850, and to
EDMUND POWELL............ 1s. per diem.
to commence from the 1st of November, 1850, each for a period of two years.
With reference to the foregoing Pensions His Excellency directs it to be notified that the following regulation respecting Pensions to Soldiers, contained in the “Royal Warrant and Regulations regarding Army Services,” will be made applicable as far as possible to Pensions granted according to the Ordinance above referred to. Page 212, art. 6th:—
“The amount of Pension granted by the Commissioners of Chelsea Hospital shall not exceed the rates fixed by this regulation. In special cases, however, of men whose disabilities shall have increased subsequently to their leaving the service, the Commissioners may reconsider such cases, if any peculiar circumstances justifying such a proceeding shall occur, and be brought forward within two years after the original grant of pension was made.”

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon on Tuesday the 24th instant, for furnishing for the Colonial Service, the undermentioned supplies, in such quantities as may be required during the six months commencing 1st January, 1851, upon the conditions hereinafter specified.
SADDLERY, &c. — Breechings, each; brushes, water, each; ditto, body, each; collars, horse, each; combs, curry, each; ditto, mane, each; grease, cart, per lb.; harness, shaft, per set; ditto, leading, per set; harness, per pair; head stalls, each; saddles, cart, each; tar per gallon.
IRONMONGERY — Axes, carpenters’, each; ditto, pick, each; brads, flooring, per lb.; hammers, stone, steeled, each; hooks, fern, each; hinges, butt, 3 in. and 4 in., per pair; ditto rising butt, per pair; ditto T., per pair; locks, mortice, each; ditto, rim each; ditto, pad, each; nails, spike, per lb.; ditto weather board, per lb.; ditto, shingle per lb.; ditto, paling, per lb.; ditto, copper sheathing per lb.; rakes (large, for roads), each; shovels, each; spades, each; screws of sizes, per 100.
TIMBER KAURI — Boards, at per 100 feet; scantling, 4 in. by 3 in., per 100 feet; ditto, 6 in., by 3 in. per 100 feet; paling, broad, 5 feet, per 100; ditto narrow, 5 feet, per 100; posts and rails, 8 feet, per 100.
MISCELLANEOUS ARTICLES — Blocks, single and double, per inch; bricks, per 1000; brooms, hair, each; brushes, scrubbing, each; buckets, water, each; bunting, red, white, yellow, blue, per yard; canvas of sizes, per bolt; carts, hand, each; copper sheathing, per lb.; glue, per lb.; lime, per bushel; oats, per foot; oil, black, linseed, and boiled, per gallon; paint, black, green, yellow, blue, and white lead, per lb.; rope of sizes, per cwt.; tar, coal, per gallon; twine, sail per lb.; wheel-barrows, each; whiting, per lb.
CONDITIONS:
Samples of the various articles will have to be submitted for inspection.
