PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency Sir George Grey,
K.C.B., Governor-in-Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, and Governor of the Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster, and Vice Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS, by an Ordinance enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, Sess. 8, No. 4, intituled "The Savings Bank Ordinance" provision was made for the management of all Savings Banks within the Colony which should be proclaimed to come within the operation of the said recited Ordinance: and whereas a Savings Bank hath been established at New Plymouth, and it is expedient that the said Bank should be brought within the operation of the Savings Bank Ordinance:

Now, I, the Governor of the Province of New Ulster, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after this date the said Savings Bank, to be called the "New Plymouth Savings Bank," shall be deemed and taken to come within the operation of the said recited Ordinance.

Given under my Hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of New Ulster, at Auckland, this 3rd day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty.

HIS Excellency the Governor-in-Chief has been pleased, in pursuance of the authority vested in him by the 2nd clause of the "Savings Bank Ordinance," Sess. 8, No. 4, to appoint the undermentioned Gentlemen to be Trustees to the New Plymouth Savings Bank.
