HIS Excellency the Governor-in-Chief has been pleased to direct that the names of the following Magistrates for the Province of New Munster, be placed on the list of Magistrates for the Province of New Ulster:

His Honor Matthew Richmond, Esq., Superintendent, Nelson.
Henry St. Hill, Esq., Sheriff and Resident Magistrate, Wellington.
David Stark Durie, Esq., Inspector of Police.
Major Alfred Francis William Wyatt, 65th Regt., Wellington, Resident Magistrate.
Wanganui.
John Watson, Esq., Resident Magistrate, Akaroa.
Alfred Rowland Chetham Strode, Esq., Sub-Inspector of Police.
Arthur Edward McDonogh, Esq., Sub-Inspector of Police.

TENDER FOR BUILDING.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, March 27th, 1849.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon on Monday, the 9th April, from parties desirous of contracting to erect a Small Building in Commercial Bay.

Plans and specifications of the works required to be performed, may be seen, and any information on the subject may be obtained on application to the Superintendent of Works, at the office of the Surveyor-General.

Tenders to be sealed and endorsed, “Tender for the Erection of Small Building in Commercial Bay.”
