TENDERS FOR THE REPAIR OF THE BRIDGE IN MECHANICS’ BAY.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, 1st September, 1849.

TENDERS in duplicate will be received at this Office, until noon of Monday, the 10th instant, from persons desirous of contracting to perform the necessary repairs to the Bridge in Mechanics’ Bay.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and further particulars obtained, at the office of the Superintendent of Roads.

NOTICE.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, 1st September, 1849.

PERSONS who are desirous of availing themselves of the Provisions of the Pensions Ordinance, 13 Vict., Sess. 10, No. 3, are hereby requested to send in their applications in writing to this office, setting forth the nature and extent of their wounds, and the circumstances under which they may have received the same.

THE following promotion having appeared in the London Gazettes of the month of March last, is published for the information of the Troops serving in this command.

CAPTAIN WILLIAM HENRY KENNY, Half-pay, 61st Foot (Staff Officer of Pensioners), to have the local rank of Major in New Zealand.
