IS Excellency the Governor-in-Chief directs it to be notified that the General Legislative Council of New Zealand will meet for the despatch of business at Auckland, on Wednesday, the 1st August next, at 3 o’clock.

  • Major HENRY MATSON, and
  • SAMPSON KEMPTHORNE, Esq.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Wednesday, 1st August, for Flooring the Customs Warehouse in Commercial Bay, and furnishing the undermentioned Articles for the service of the Customs Department:

  • 2 Office Tables
  • 2 Chairs
  • 1 Bench
  • 1 Ladder
  • Shelves

Further particulars on the subject may be obtained on application at the office of the Superintendent of Works.

TENDERS FOR SUPPLYING BOOTS, CLOTHING, &c.,
For the Service of the Auckland Gaol.

Auckland, July 19th, 1849.

TENDERS in duplicate will be received at this Office, until noon on Monday, the 30th instant, from parties desirous of supplying the undermentioned articles for the service of the Auckland Gaol:

  • 24 pairs of Boots
  • 24 pairs of Duck Trowsers
  • 24 Tin Pots
  • 24 Tin Plates

The Tenders to specify the price at which the Boots will be supplied, both of English and colonial manufacture.
