HIS Excellency the Governor-in-Chief,
has been pleased to appoint
Thomas Outhwaite, Esq.,
to be “Registrar General” of Births, Deaths, and Marriages for the Province of New Ulster, and “Deputy Registrar” of Births, Deaths, and Marriages for the District of Auckland,
under the provision of the Registration Ordinance, Session 8, No. 0.

SALE OF COALS.

NOTICE is hereby given that at 11 o’clock on Monday, the 14th instant, the Superintendent of Public Works will cause to be sold by Public Auction, a quantity of Coal belonging to the Colonial Government, at present lying at the Government stable in Mechanic’s bay and estimated at about twenty four and a half tons.

TENDERS FOR SCORIA.

Auckland, February 4th, 1848.
TENDERS will be received at this Office till noon on Thursday the 17th instant, for the supply of good Scoria, suitable for building purposes, to be delivered on the beach at Howick, above high water mark.
The Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and endorsed “Tenders for Scoria,” and must state the price per cubic yard at which the stone will be delivered as above.

TENDERS in duplicate will be received at this Office, until noon on Tuesday the 15th instant, from parties desirous of supplying Hay for the service of the Colonial Government, for the six months, commencing on Monday, the 21st instant.
