PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency GEORGE GREY,
Esquire, Governor-in-Chief in
and over the Islands of New
Zealand, and Governor of the
Provinces of New Ulster and
New Munster, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c., &c.

THE GOVERNOR of the Province of New
Ulster, do hereby proclaim that at eleven
o’clock on Tuesday, the eleventh day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight,
the Colonial Treasurer will put up to Auction,
at the Treasury, in Auckland, the under-
mentioned allotments of land, hereby declared
to be within the limits of settlement.

Immediate payment in cash to be an indis-
pensable condition of sale.

TENDERS FOR HAND CARTS.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, April 28th, 1848.

THE Tenders for Hand Carts submitted
in pursuance of the Gazette notice of
21st March last, having been found so high,
that it has been deemed unadvisable to accept
any of them.

Fresh tenders will be received at this office
until noon on Wednesday, 3rd May, 1848, for
the supply of 20 HAND CARTS,
for the use of working parties of the Royal
New Zealand Fencibles.

Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and en-
dorsed “Tenders for Hand Carts,” and are
to state specifically a time within which the Carts
will be delivered by the contractor.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Licences
have been issued to the undermentioned
persons to exercise the business or calling of
Auctioneers, in New Zealand, for the term of
