PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency GEORGE GREY, Esquire, Governor-in-Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, and Governor of the Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster, and Vice Admiral of the same. &c., &c.
I, THE GOVERNOR of the Province of New Ulster, do hereby advertise and proclaim that at eleven o’clock on Tuesday, the ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight, the Colonial Treasurer will put up to Auction at Howick, the undermentioned lots on the terms and conditions, and under the provisions of an Act of Parliament, passed in the fifth and sixth years of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, chap. xxxvi, intituled “An Act for regulating the Sale of Waste Lands belonging to the Crown in the Australian Colonies.”
Deposit on the purchase money ten pounds per centum.

to be Collector and Landing Surveyor, and

to be Landing Waiter and Searcher of Her Majesty’s Customs at the Port of Auckland, until the pleasure of the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty’s Treasury shall be known.
These appointments to bear date the 1st of May, 1848.
