PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency Sir George Grey, a Knight Commander of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, and Governor of the Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster, and Vice Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.

I, THE GOVERNOR of the Province of New Munster, Do Hereby Proclaim and Declare that at Twelve o’clock on Saturday, the Eleventh day of September next, the Colonial Treasurer will put up to Auction at the Treasury, Wellington, the undermentioned Land:

TOWN OF WELLINGTON.

LANDS RECLAIMED FROM THE SEA AT LAMBTON QUAY.

About 140 Feet with Water Frontage to Harbor, Upset Price £6 per Lineal Feet.

The land will be sold at per lineal foot, extending its whole depth, which measures a hundred feet backwards from the present line of Lambton Quay, and in successive lots of twenty feet each.

The purchaser will be limited to a maximum of Twenty feet in one lot, but will have the option of taking any smaller number of feet of the lot offered for sale: the number of feet to be taken will be measured in each case from the northern extremity of the land so put up for sale.

Each succeeding lot will include any unsold portion of the previous lot.

Immediate payment in cash will be an indispensable condition of Sale.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of New Munster, in the Islands of New Zealand, at Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of August, in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and fifty-two.

SUPREME COURT.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that a Sitting of the Supreme Court for the Disposal of Criminal Business will be holden at the Court House, Wellington, on Wednesday, the first day of September next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, and that a Sitting for the despatch of Civil Business, will be holden at the Court House on Tuesday the Seventh day of September next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which times and place all persons under recognizance to appear either as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are hereby required to give their attendance.
