HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-IN-CHIEF directs it to be notified that he will hold a Levee at Government House on Saturday the 24th instant, at one o'clock p.m., in honor of Her Majesty's Birthday.

SATURDAY, the 24th instant, being the anniversary of Her Majesty's Birthday, the Governor-in-Chief has been pleased to direct that it be observed as a holiday at the public offices.

ALL Applications for "Bush" Licences, or renewal of "Bush" Licences, must be recommended by the Magistrate residing in the neighbourhood of Applicant's abode, or by at least three respectable inhabitants of the District. The application should be forwarded to the Colonial Secretary on or before the 20th June next.
