All Public Notifications which may appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those Persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

Colonial Secretary's Office,

Wellington, 12th March, 1850.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, on or before the 23rd instant, for keeping in Repair the whole or any of the under-mentioned portions of the Wairarapa Road for Twelve Months, from the 1st April next to 31st March, 1851.

Specifications may be seen at the Survey Office, Wellington.

First Portion—Between Kaiwarra Bridge and the Hutt Bridge.

Second Portion—From the Hutt Bridge to the end of the Second Gorge.

Third Portion—From the end of the Second Gorge to the Mungaroa.

Fourth Portion—For keeping the Pathway through the Pakuratahi, and so far as Burling’s Station at Wairarapa, free from fallen trees, and in such a state of repair as will enable persons on horseback to travel safely over it at all times.

Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and endorsed “Tenders for keeping Wairarapa Road in Repair.”

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that WILLIAM DONALD, Esquire, of Akaroa, in the Province of New Munster, has duly qualified as a Medical Practitioner under the Ordinance of the Provincial Council passed on the 18th day of May, 1849, intituled “An Ordinance to define the Qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners,” Session I, No. 2.
