CONTRACTS—WAIRARAPA ROAD
Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 21st Nov., 1850.
TENDERS in Duplicate will be received at this Office up to 12 o’clock on Monday, the 2nd December next, from persons desirous of Contracting for the partial widening, and the metalling of the Road between the 1st Gorge and No. 1 Line in the Upper Valley of the Hutt;
ALSO—
For opening a Cart Road from the Mungaroa to a point about a mile beyond the Pakuratahi River.
ALSO—
For the formation of a good Bridle Road, at per mile, from the before mentioned point over the Rimutaka Range into the Wairarapa, along the New Line for the Road.
ALSO—
For felling the bush on the Wairarapa side of the Rimutaka Range.
The Specifications for these Works may be seen, and the conditions ascertained at the Survey Office. Copies of the Specifications may also be seen at Mr. Buck’s, at the Taita.
Tenders for each specification to be separately endorsed.
The lowest Tender in any case will not necessarily be accepted.
