NOTICE.
Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Wellington, 16th April, 1849.
THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR, believing that some of the Regulations relative to the Colonial Hospital are not sufficiently known to the Public, has been pleased to direct the following to be made known for general information:—
First. That the Hospital is open to the visits and inspection of the Public at all reasonable times.
Secondly. That any legally qualified Medical Practitioner can, if he wishes it, be present at any surgical operations which may take place there, and of which due intimation is given when circumstances admit of this being done, by a notice posted up in the entrance hall of the Institution.

By His Excellency Sir George Grey, K.C.B., Governor-in-Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, and Governor of the Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster, and Vice Admiral of the same, &c., &c.
WHEREAS, the undermentioned Ordinance enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, was passed in the eleventh year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, viz:—
