HIS EXCELLENCY THE LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR has been pleased to appoint
The Rev. JOHN FREDERICK H. WOHLERS,
to be Deputy-Registrar of Births, Marriages, and Deaths, for the District of Foveaux Straits. The appointment to bear
date the 28th instant.

TENDERS
will be received at this Office until the 30th instant, from persons desirous of contracting for the undermentioned services, viz.:
Piling the banks of the River Hutt adjacent to the Bridge, and executing such other works as may be required in securing the abutments of the Bridge, and preventing the further encroachments of the river on its banks above and below the Bridge.
Plans and specifications of the work may be seen, on application at the office of the Surveyor, Mr. T. H. Fitzgerald, any day subsequent to the 11th instant.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and endorsed "Tender for Piling Banks of River Hutt."

will be received at this Office until the 15th instant, from persons desirous of contracting for the construction of the Sea Wall to the road between Kaiwarra and Ngahauranga, at per yard superficial, the average thickness being about five feet.
Parties tendering may either tender for the work, supplying their own material, or for the workmanship only.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and endorsed "Tender for Construction of Sea Wall to Ngahauranga."
